• Traktor DJ Studio Compatibility to FinalScratch 2
  
  The new version of Traktor DJ Studio is now fully compatible with Stanton’s new FinalScratch 2 hardware, offering DJs mixing with this setup a whole new realm of possibilities.



• Traktor DJ Studio WMA and AAC Compatibility
  
  DRM-free WMA and AAC file formats are now supported, as well as Ogg Vorbis und FLAC (lossless audio compression).



• Traktor DJ Studio Internet Broadcasting
  
  By using Icecast servers (an open source version of the Shoutcast protocol), the mix can be streamed live over the internet. A pre-requisite is, however, that the relevant servers are available and that the protocol is supported by the ISP.



• Traktor DJ Studio Input Recording
  
  Connect a microphone or line signal directly to Traktor DJ Studio 2.6 and record the signal on-the-fly. The resulting audio file can then be loaded into the virtual deck and mixed back into the set. Alternatively, you can "stream" the live signal directly to your mix - making it possible to add your moderation or a live act to your DJ mix and internet braodcasting.



• Record the Mix
  
  As well as the popular mix automation feature, it is now possible to record your live mix directly to the hard drive in WAV or AIFF formats.



• Displays
  
  The tracks are graphically shown as waveform displaying the sound in two frequency bands for visual control of beats, breaks and instrumentation. An additional display now shows the entire track for fast navigation.



• Tempo Detection
  
  Traktor DJ Studio’s tempo detection uses complex algorithms for reliable beat alignment of two tracks on the fly. Tempo reading for complex beats can be improved by additional user tapping.



• Traktor DJ Studio Tempo Correction
  
  Pitch tracks +/- 100% or change their tempo in real-time using true-to-sound time stretching.



• Precise Cue-Points and Loops
  
  Up to ten available cue-points and loops per track open new dimensions for accurate cueing and live remixing. Cue points can be beat-quantized, loops can be set accurately on the bar, resized, moved, all without losing the groove.



• Filters and Equalizers
  
  High-end filters and equalizers radically transform the sound of the tracks.



• Track Database
  
  The easy-to-use track database provides a comfortable tree navigator, powerful quick search, MP3 browser, MP3 browser, automatic playlist icons keeping track of the set and direct pre-listening of tracks.



• Traktor DJ Studio Automation and Mix Export
  
  Full automation of functions and actions, recording of all user actions, seamlessly resuming mixing sessions, editing, overdubbing and exporting the entire mix as WAV or AIFF files.



• Total Control
  
  All of Traktor’s over 400 functions and actions can be operated by mouse, user programmed keyboard shortcuts, MIDI controllers or MIDI note events. Comprehensive learning functions provide straightforward allocation of external equipment. In addition TRAKTOR DJ Studio 2.5 can be synced with other music programs via OSC or MIDI clock.



• Enhanced Browser and Playlist Features
  
  A “History” function is now incorporated into the playlist feature, which automatically records details about the date and time tracks were played. Create exact playlists of your mix-sets quickly and easily – print them out or export them. As well as this the browser has special ‘bookmarks’ for fast access to 12 of your favorite folders.



• Minute Markers
  
  1-minute markers are included in the small waveform window which displays the entire track. These helpful guides also correspond to the markers on the time-code embedded records, when using TRAKTOR with the new Stanton FINALSCRATCH 2 System.



• Traktor DJ Studio Control The Sound
  
  Traktor DJ Studio 2.6 displays each track as a color waveform to perceive beats, breaks and instrumentation in real time. The new track overview allows you to cue up the song instantly, regardless of which digital audio format is being used.



• Never Lose Track
  
  Finding a track among ten thousand titles takes just a matter of seconds. Browse by artist, title, or label and organize your tracks in virtual record bags. Or search your music archives using the powerful Quick Search feature. Once you’re in the mix, TRAKTOR DJ Studio 2.6’s intelligent tempo detection provides reliable beat alignment of two tracks and the playlist history automatically documents which tracks you played. ID3 tags can be imported directly and tracks can be arranged into any number of playlists.

  PC: Windows 2000/XP, Pentium/Athlon 1 GHz, 256 MB RAM; Recommended: Windows XP, Pentium/Athlon 1.6 GHz, 512 MB RAM;
  
  Mac: Mac OS 10.3.6, G4 1 GHz, 256 MB RAM; Recommended: Mac OS 10.2.6, G4 1.25 GHz, 512 MB RAM.
  
  *Note on the New System Requirements: For high-quality time stretching on both decks a processor starting at 1 GHz (minimum) is required (1.25 or 1.6 recommended). Version 2.5 runs on slower systems, but please note that systems with processor speeds between 500 and 1 GHz may not be able to activate high quality time stretching on both decks simultaneously. The time stretch preferences allow the engine to be set to medium or high quality and/or for one or both decks. For systems with lower clock speeds the time stretching engine can be set to medium quality, be used on only one deck or be deactivated altogether. The best thing is to experiment with different settings (both decks medium quality, one deck high quality, etc.) on your system and see where you get the best performance.
